We, BPS PLUS PRIVATE LIMITED, a company registered under the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013, having its registered office at 5th Floor (PayRup) Brigade IRV Centre, Nallurhalli Road, Nallurhalli, Whitefield, Bengaluru, Karnataka – 560066(hereinafter referred to as the “Company”, which expression shall, unless repugnant to the context thereof, be deemed to include its legal heirs, representatives, administrators, permitted successors, and assigns).

The Company is committed to safeguarding the privacy of its users and protecting the personal and financial information shared with it.

This Privacy Policy contains information about the PayRup website, mobile application, and related digital platforms (hereinafter referred to as the “Platform”).

In order to provide uninterrupted access to services, the Company may collect, process, store, and disclose certain information about users in accordance with applicable laws and this Privacy Policy. This Policy explains the manner in which such information is collected, used, shared, and protected, as well as the choices available to users.

This Privacy Policy is framed in accordance with applicable Indian laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, RBI guidelines, NPCI operating rules, and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

DEFINITIONS

  • “We”,“Our”,“Us” shall mean and refer to the Company and/or the Platform.
  • “You”,“Your”,“User”,shall mean any natural or legal person who accesses or uses the Platform and is competent to contract under Indian law.
  • “Services” shall mean technology-enabled assisted and digital financial services including but not limited to Domestic Money Transfer (DMT), Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS), Micro ATM (MATM), BBPS, recharges, and allied services facilitated through RBI-authorised banks and NPCI-regulated networks.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect the following categories of information:

Personal Information
  • Name, mobile number, and email address
  • Address and location details
  • KYC information as mandated by applicable laws
Transactional Information
  • Transaction amount, date, time, and reference number
  • Settlement and reconciliation records
Technical & Usage Information
  • IP address, device ID, browser, and operating system details
  • Platform usage data and analytics
AEPS-Related Information
  • Aadhaar number in masked or tokenised form
  • Biometric information captured only for real-time authentication

Biometric data is encrypted, processed in real time, and is never stored by PayRup.

PURPOSE OF INFORMATION COLLECTION

Information collected is used strictly for the following purposes:

  • Facilitating financial transactions and services
  • User onboarding and verification
  • Fraud detection, AML monitoring, and risk management
  • Regulatory compliance and audit requirements
  • Customer support and grievance redressal
  • Platform improvement and analytics

The information provided by Users shall be used to:

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Information is shared only on a need-to-know basis and in accordance with this Policy.

DATA LOCALISATION

All payment-related and transaction data is stored and processed on servers located within India, in compliance with RBI data localisation guidelines.

SHARING OF INFORMATION

Information may be shared with:

  • RBI-authorised sponsor banks
  • NPCI and regulated payment networks
  • KYC, AML, fraud monitoring, and technology partners
  • Government or regulatory authorities when required by law

All third parties are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.

DATA RETENTION

Personal and transaction data is retained only for such period as required under applicable laws, regulatory guidelines, audit, reconciliation, and dispute resolution Requirements. We retain personal information and transaction data for a minimum period of time or such longer duration as required under applicable laws, including but not limited to RBI guidelines, Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), Income Tax Act, and other regulatory requirements.

Data may also be retained beyond this period for audit, reconciliation, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and compliance with regulatory or legal obligations. Upon expiry of the retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymized in accordance with applicable data protection standards.

The Platform uses cookies to enhance user experience, maintain secure sessions, and analyse usage patterns. Users may manage cookie preferences through browser settings; however, disabling cookies may limit certain functionalities.

USER RIGHTS

Subject to applicable laws, Users have the right to:
